EngineerGuyApp (also referred to as "Engineer Guy," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. EngineerGuyApp is an AI-powered audio mixing and mastering application available at engineerguyapp.com and operated by EngineerGuyApp LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the EngineerGuyApp platform and services (the "Service"). Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the Service.

1. Information We Collect

a. Information You Provide Directly

• Account information: Email address and password when you register
• Payment information: Billing details processed securely by Stripe (we never store full card numbers)
• Audio files: Tracks, stems, and reference files you upload to the Service
• Chat messages: Text and voice inputs you submit to the AI engineer chat
• Communications: Emails or support messages you send us

b. Information Collected Automatically

• Usage data: Features used, sessions created, tracks processed, and interaction patterns
• Device and log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and timestamps
• Cookies and local storage: Authentication tokens and session preferences (see Section 6)

c. Information from Third Parties

• Stripe: Payment confirmation, subscription status, and billing history

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Service
• Process your audio files and generate AI-driven analysis and mastering output
• Authenticate your identity and maintain account security
• Process payments and manage your subscription
• Send transactional emails (receipts, password resets, account alerts)
• Respond to support requests and inquiries
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized activity
• Comply with legal obligations
• With your consent, send product updates or promotional communications (you may opt out at any time)

We do not use your uploaded audio files to train AI models without your explicit written consent.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers: Third-party vendors who help us operate the Service (e.g., Stripe for payments, cloud storage providers, AI API providers). These parties are contractually bound to use your data only to provide services to us.
• Legal requirements: When required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Engineer Guy, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred. We will notify you before your data is subject to a different privacy policy.
• With your consent: In any other circumstance where you have given explicit consent.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Uploaded audio files are retained for the duration of your session and up to 30 days thereafter, after which they are permanently deleted from our servers unless you have explicitly saved them. You may delete your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at privacy@engineerguy.app. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS), encrypted storage, hashed passwords (bcrypt), and access controls to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security and encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

6. Cookies and Tracking

We use the following types of storage:

• Essential cookies/local storage: Authentication tokens and session state required for the Service to function. These cannot be disabled.
• Analytics: We may use privacy-respecting analytics tools to understand usage patterns. No cross-site tracking or ad targeting is performed.

You can clear cookies and local storage through your browser settings, though doing so will log you out.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
• Portability: Request your data in a portable, machine-readable format

Our legal basis for processing your data includes: performance of a contract (providing the Service), legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention), legal obligations, and your consent where applicable. 10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it promptly. 11. TikTok Integration

EngineerGuyApp integrates with TikTok through TikTok's Login Kit and Content Posting API to allow users to connect their TikTok account and share audio content directly from the EngineerGuyApp platform to TikTok.

Scopes Requested

• user.info.profile: We access your TikTok display name and profile picture solely to display your connected account within EngineerGuyApp. We do not store or share this data beyond your session.
• video.upload / video.publish: We use this scope to allow you to upload and publish audio/video content you create using EngineerGuyApp directly to your TikTok account. Content is only posted with your explicit action — we never post to TikTok automatically without your direct request.

Data Use

EngineerGuyApp does not sell, share, or use your TikTok profile data for advertising or analytics. TikTok access tokens are stored securely and used only to fulfill your content posting requests. You may revoke TikTok access at any time from your EngineerGuyApp account settings or directly from your TikTok account settings at tiktok.com/settings.

13. Third-Party Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a new "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate, by sending you an email notification. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
